The listing fee covers our time of processing your request, looking at your website / business and for setting up your link in our directory - if approved. If your site is not approved, then you will NOT get your listing fee back, so this is for serious inquiries only - for the good of the directory.

The purpose of this directory is to group together business that are like minded when it comes to saving energy and saving our planet's resources. People who want to shop and use businesses that adhere to these ideas will first take the time to seek out website directories like ours. You want to be found where people are looking - which is why you advertise, of course.

Also, the more websites that point to your website help your website rank higher in search engine rankings. Think of referring links as "votes" for your website. The more votes you have, the higher you rank. Getting a link / vote from a directory website that has a category devoted to what your business does is an even stronger vote and will help you even more.

How to Submit Your Website For Consideration

To submit your business to our green directory, please go to the category that you think best suits your business or website and then click on the "Add your listing here" link found at the top of the page. You will need to first register as a user on our website before you can login and fill out this form. After submitting the form, you will be taken to a check-out page where you can pay the listing fee for us to investigate your website or business. Usually within 48 hours, you will receive a response from us indicating if you website has been approved.

What's the Best Way to Insure that my Website is Approved?

Here are a few tips:

• Make sure your website is up and in working order. Sites that have "coming soon" type pages will not get approved.
• Make sure that your website clearly relates to the category that you're submitting your website to.
• Make sure it's clear why you consider your website or business "green." We should be able to find this information or a link to this information on the home page - most of the time, there's a link at the bottom of the page.
• Make sure you fill out the form on our website completely and, of course, truthfully. If it's incomplete or not done well then we'll wonder why you've decided to waste our time and your money and you most likely will not get approved.
• In the description field on the form, explain in 2 sentences or less why your company or organization is considered "green" (please see our Green Listing Criteria page).

1. If my site is not approved and I want to submit it again, do I have to pay the listing fee again?
   Yup.


2. How many of the sites that are submitted do you approve?
   We approve nearly every site submitted. Having a listing fee does help keep out the "riff-raff" and we do want this directory to be a valuable "green" resource.


3. Is the listing fee an annual fee or one-time?
   It's an annual fee. When your listing comes up for renewal, we'll email you a notice to renew your listing. We do this to make sure that your business is still providing "green" practices and so that we know your same email address (and website) are still working.


4. Can I edit my listing's name or description?
   Yes, you may login and make changes when you like. When you do this, we'll need to approve your changes before they go live. As of right now, we don't charge a fee for approving new listings but listings that may change their information too often will first get a warning and then if another change is requested, a change listing fee will occur.
